King’s tournament

This King’s title awarded to the Flèche d’Or members is purely honorific. It was historically known as the bird’s hunt, but since it is not fair to shoot at a harmless bird, we simply hold an internal tournament between all club members to define our best shooter.

The coming King’s Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 2019, in our Indoor Hall, in Bonnevoie

As it is organized right before Halloween holidays, we won’t have a lengthy access to the place, we have to push the schedule a bit.
The following schedule is expected:

  • 4:30 pm opening of the range
  • 5:00 pm qualification shooting (two practice ends, following by 12x 3 arrows)
  • 6:00 pm beginning of the finals
  • 7:00 pm end of the final phases, award of the King’s necklace
  • around 8:00 pm dinner at Matese (italian) restaurant, in Bonnevoie

Practical details

  • Every active club member can participate, without any age or gender distinction
  • Only olympic recurve bows or barebows are allowed
  • Shooting is done at 25 meters, on a 60cm target (trispots available on request)
  • Finals are shot following the set system
  • The shooting range is of course open to spectators
